Undergraduate Curriculog Proposal System

Calendar & Deadlines

updates to undergraduate catalog cycle

With the approval and support of the Provost, we are shifting the Undergraduate Catalog cycle. Because of the way students will begin registering from Degree Works plan in Banner Self-Service 9, all curricular changes and additions need to be approved and built in our internal systems before Fall registration. Further, we have new Gen Ed approval requirements that necessitate having all general education courses approved by our General Education Council much earlier than before. Therefore, catalog cycles need to be an entire academic year ahead of their implementation.

In August 2024, the UG Catalog cycle opened for the 2026-2027 catalog, and there will be a moratorium on new courses and degree programs for the 2025-2026 cycle. Exceptions will be allowed for items that need to be included in the 2025-2026 catalog. Faculty and colleges can submit exception requests directly to UGS (Kyna Betancourt, kbetancourt@usf.edu) who will work with the Provost’s Office to review and approve. The 2025-2026 cycle will be shortened so that the 2025-2026 catalog can be published in March in preparation for Fall 2025 registration.

The cycle for 2026-2027 is running "normally" meaning that proposals will be due by the last Friday of Fall semester. Curriculog will open again in August 2025 to start accepting proposals for 2027-2028.

Exceptions for the 2025-2026 cycle may include:

  • Course revisions to correct pre- and/or co-requisite errors, including updates to State Common Prerequisites
  • Program terminations
  • Changes required by a specialized accreditor and/or a governing body
  • Non-duplicative new degree programs approved in the 5-year Academic Master Plan
  • Other unanticipated exceptions approved by the ACEAC and COD via the Intent Proposal Process to be added to the Academic Master Plan

Important Deadlines for 2025-2026 Catalog

  • February 1: all new courses must be completely through faculty councils and to the Registrar’s Office
  • March 8: all course changes must be completely through faculty councils and to the Registrar's Office
  • March 28: all new programs and program changes must be built in Degree Works for Fall Registration

The Curriculog calendar is internal to the Curriculog System, and provides important dates and deadlines relating to Curriculog and proposals.  Once you log into Curriculog the calendar will appear on the right side of your dashboard.
