Bystander Intervention Training:

*Content Warning: This workshop explores topics related to violence, including sexual violence, relationship violence, stalking, and harassment. The discussion will include definitions and dynamics of violence, in addition to scenario-based learning

In this 1.5 hour workshop, students develop skills to identify potentially violent situations and safely and effectively intervene to decrease instances of violence in the USF community and create a culture of collective support. During the workshop, students explore USF policy, signs and dynamics of power-based violence, barriers to intervening, and the 3D bystander intervention approach.

Consent Conversations

*Content Warning: This workshop explores sexual consent and may include discussion of sexual violence.

This 1.5 hour workshop supports students in developing a mutual respect framework for consent and in building a personal script for consent communication that is culturally relevant and flexible. Students explore how culture, education, and communication style impact our understanding and application of consent, and think through ways to create the emotional and physcial safety necessary for open, honest consent conversations.

How to Support Survivors

*Content Warning: This workshop will discuss sexual violence, including dynamics, definitions, and statistics.

As part of Relationship Violence Awareness Month, we will explore how to support friends who are survivors of relationship violence. During this 1 hour virtual workshop, we will discuss dynamics of relationship violence, ways to be a supportive friend, and Center for Victim Advocacy and Violence Prevention resources.
