USAID Senior Foreign Service Officer
BIOGRAPHY:
Ms. is a senior foreign service officer with the United States Agency for International
Development (USAID). After joining USAID in 2006, Ms. Butler completed assignments
in Afghanistan, Iraq, Bangladesh, South Sudan and Haiti. She recently served as Senior
Development Advisor to US Central Command. Prior to her government service, Ms. Butler
worked for NGOs and in public relations for 12 years. A native of Atlanta, GA, she
earned her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Duke University and a Master鈥檚
degree in International Affairs from Georgia Tech. Ms. Butler also holds a Master鈥檚
degree in Strategic Studies from the US Army War College. In 2022, she was featured
on the CSIS /DISN list of national security and foreign policy 鈥淭op 50鈥� leaders list.
