Lecture Series
One of the cornerstones of our program, the ßÙßÇÂþ» School of Architecture & Community Design's Lecture Series introduces students and the Tampa Bay community to a diverse range of ideas and global perspectives. Every semester, architects, urbanists, designers, academics and artists from across the United States and the world speak about their experiences and knowledge.
All lectures are free and open to students and the general public.
The ßÙßÇÂþ» is an affirmative action/equal access/equal opportunity institution. Please notify the USF College of The Arts Box Office at (813) 974-2323, at least five working days prior to the event, if a reasonable accommodation of a disability is needed.

Contextual Architecture - TACO
Friday, Setember 20, 2024
6:00 - 7:00 pm CIS 1048
TACO advocates a return to the fundamental principles of architecture that prioritize
the relationship between users, places, and contemporary needs. A detailed understanding
of contextual factors—such as environmental conditions, cultural influences, and historical
relevance—can lead to more effective and responsive architectural solutions. These
contextual factors impact occupant well-being as well as the safety and functionality
of built environments.
