Graduate Certificate
The Graduate Certificate in Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies (LACS) is offered by the Institute of Latin America and Caribbean Studies (ISLAC), under the Collegeof Arts and Sciences (CAS). It is a CAS Institute with a University-wide mandate. The certificate is fundamental for students interested in learning more about business, religious, political, social, and cultural processes taking place in Latin America, the Caribbean, as well as those Latinos/as/x in the United States. Students enjoy attending lectures by distinguished writers and scholars and traveling to the region through Study Abroad.
Certificate process
For more information or to inquire on how to apply for the certificate program please
contact thedepartment and ask for the Academic Program Specialist.
Once all certificate course requirements have been met the student needs to complete
the Certificate Completion Form and submit it to the department for processing. The
Certificate will be awarded upon the successful completion of the student's major
degree requirements and will be formally recognized on your academic record.
