Assistant Professor of Applied Analysis and PDEs

The Department of Mathematics & Statistics at the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ seeks to fill a 9-month, full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Mathematics position on our Tampa campus starting August 7, 2025. The position will be targeted towards Applied Analysis and PDEs. To receive consideration, applications must be submitted no later than November 15, 2024. Salary is negotiable.

Minimum qualifications include a doctoral degree from an accredited institution in Mathematics or a related field and a demonstrated record of achievement in teaching, academic research, and service. Doctoral degree must be completed by July 15, 2025. Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong research record in applied analysis and/or PDEs who can teach a broad array of applied and theoretical courses. The successful candidate will exhibit the potential to collaborate with researchers in the department and across the university.

Applicants must demonstrate evidence of, or potential for, excellence both in research and teaching; previous teaching experience is preferred. The candidate hired to this position will be expected to teach effectively at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, to maintain a vigorous research program, to seek external research funding, and to develop a satisfactory record of service.
