USF at Water Street Tampa extends the patient-centered vision of integrated care by allowing us to teach integrated clinical skills in a community-focused environment, which creates a new partnership between the community, our students and faculty.
USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Taneja College of Pharmacy will be situated in the heart of a vibrant, amenity-rich redeveloped downtown Tampa waterfront district, creating a modern facility that will provide an improved educational experience in close proximity to the world-class Center for Advanced Medical Learning and Simulation (CAMLS) and our primary teaching and clinical affiliate, Tampa General Hospital and other surrounding clinical facilities.
Students are the heart of a university. Meeting their academic, professional, social and health needs is not just paramount to the success of USF but to the development of the next generation of health care providers and leaders.
At the center of USF's downtown plan is the positive impact that it will have on USF Health students. Locating the new USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Taneja College of Pharmacy building in Tampa's urban core will promote the success of our students on their journey to becoming the doctors and pharmacists who will care for the citizens of our state and our nation in the coming decade.
Located in the hub of Tampa Bay, the new building will provide our students everything they need to succeed – a state-of-the-art training facility with easy access to clinical training facilities.
And, of critical importance to our students and their families, there are no increased student costs associated with the new downtown USF Health building.
