Application Process

Application Process

Applications have closed for the Fall 2024 Semester. Applications will open again at the beginning of the Fall 2025 Semester. 

Interested University Conduct Board applicants must submit an applicationfor consideration.  Applicants will be asked to submit written responses to seven questions. The questions can be found below to assist with your preparation. Applicants will also submit a copy of their resume. For resume assistance, please visit: . The University Conduct Board is a volunteer position only and has no compensation.

Applications for the UCB closed on September 6th, 2024, at 11:59pm. Candidates chosen for interviews will be notified by September 13th, 2024. Group Interviews will take place from September 23rd - 27th, 2024.

Invitations to New Members will be sent out by October 7th.

Expectations:
- UCB members will take part in initial training

St. Pete Campus
Friday, October 11, 2024 from 9am-1pm

Tampa Campus
Monday, October 7, 2024 from 1pm-5pm
Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 1pm-5pm


- UCB members will respond to emails regarding their availability for hearings.
- UCB members will participate in continuous training throughout the year.
- UCB members will review all relevant case information before a formal hearing. 
- UCB members will be trained to hear cases involving sexual harassment and sexual misconduct which involve sensitive and potentially triggering topics. UCB members may opt out for any reason with no questions asked. Training will take place on October 25, 2024 from 9am-1pm virtually. 

Applicants may reapply in the future if not selected.

Written Application Questions

1. What activities and organizations are you involved with on campus or within the community? How did you learn about those opportunities and why are they important to you?

2. What do you believe is the role of the University Conduct Board, and how would your participation contribute to its success?

3. What are your goals after graduation, and how would this opportunity contribute to those goals?

4. Tell us about a time you had a different opinion than someone. How did you react, and how did you reach a conclusion?

5. What steps do you take to prepare for exams or big projects? How do you keep yourself on track? How do you hold yourself accountable?

6. Describe a situation when you had to defend your actions or recommendations because they were challenged by others. How did you support your decision?
(For example: Did you use outside sources or information to justify your actions?)

7. Describe a situation where you followed the rules when it may have been easier to go around them.
