The purpose and goals of this student organization is to:

Empower, advocate for, and support individuals of color who identify as: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Questioning, Intersex, Asexual, and/or Queer. QTPOCC accomplishes this through creating a safe space for cultivating alliances, leadership, and educational/ networking opportunities.

Provide a network of support to allow all students, particularly those of color to participate, integrate, live openly, and meet others like themselves at USF and in the surrounding community without fear of harassment and/or discrimination on the basis of race, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or gender identity/expression.

Raise support, awareness, and education around the cultural and societal issues our community faces in regards to sexual orientation, gender expression and the intersectionality of identities. Implementation of such includes but is not limited to providing resources, connections, panels, workshops, advocacy, and social events.

Give individuals the opportunity to interact in an open and accepting atmosphere within the organization, and to facilitate and encourage interaction within USF and surrounding communities.
