5. Advance Account
Process
- PI/DRA analyzes the need and associated risks of an advance account.
- For an initial award, go to the “Funding Proposal Workspace” in Bulls iResearch and click Send Grant Status Update
Request Details
- Select: Award Anticipated
- In the comments section specify the request for an Advance Account and any other information to justify the request. Please upload any documentation to support as well, ex: email from the sponsor, agreement, etc.
OR
- For an existing award, go to the “Award Workspace” in Bulls iResearch and click Request Award Modification.
Request Details
- *Short title: Requesting Advance Account
- Sponsor Due Date
- *Full description of requested changes, ex: which sub(s) do you want this Advance
Account applied to?
- *Add Supporting documents
Advance accounts take approximately ten (10) business days to complete. You will receive an email notification from Bulls iResearch when the final review is complete and the advance account has been activated.
Please Note:
Justification must come from the sponsor and must contain the project period dates and anticipated award amount.
An email statement to Sponsored Research that no research related to pending compliance approvals will begin until approvals are secured and that no advance funds will be used to pay for expenses related to research pending compliance approvals may assist in avoiding delays in the process.
Advance account requests submitted after the project period start date may lead to RETS.
