What is a QEP?
Overview
A Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) is a proactive strategic initiative implemented every five years by educational institutions to enhance overall institutional quality and effectiveness to ensure positive outcomes for students.
Focused on student success or student learning outcomes, a QEP centers around a specific issue that a university wants to address, like curriculum, student support services, and teaching methods.
An institution’s QEP is a collaborative effort with input from various stakeholders and includes assessment measures to determine effectiveness.
USF's current QEP is ExCeL, focused on Experiential Centered Learning.
