Individual Development Plan and Career Counseling
Where do you want to go with your career? An Individual Development Plan will help you explore career options and figure out a roadmap of how to get there. This plan will also help your faculty mentor give you the training you need for your chosen path.
USF does not use a in-house IDP but we recommend a few different versions that are tailored for your discipline. You may try more than one to see which is the best fit.
How It Works: You will take stock of your skills, interests and values, find career options that fit these, read more about these careers and develop a plan to get you there.
: For the biomedical sciences and related fields. Recommended by NSF and NIH.
: Probably the most broadly applicable. Built with the humanities and social sciences in mind but is used by those in STEM fields as well.
: Designed for those in the chemical sciences when MyIDP may not be relevant.
