Harry S. Truman Scholarship
The Truman Scholarship recognizes future "change agents." The scholarship program provides professional development training and graduate school support for students planning to work for public entities - government agencies, nonprofit organizations, public and private educational institutions, or advocacy organizations.
ELIGIBILITY
- U.S. Citizens
- Minimum 3.7 GPA
- Undergraduates with a junior-level academic standing at the time of application
- Plan to attend professional or graduate school to prepare for careers in government or the nonprofit and advocacy sectors where they will improve the ways these institutions work
IDEAL CANDIDATES
- Well demonstrated leadership and community engagement activities
Please note: University nomination is required.

When should you engage with ONS?
Students must participate in the pre-application process the spring before the deadline,
but will ideally come in for advising as early as possible.
