Students: Welcome to the 2022 Fall Semester

Dear ßÙßÇÂþ» students,

I am delighted to welcome you to the start of the 2022 fall semester at the University of South Florida!

As the first USF graduate to serve as president, I can’t express strongly enough how much I enjoyed my time as a student at this great university. I encourage you to get involved in the many events taking place on our three beautiful campuses during USF’s Week of Welcome and of course, our this fall!

With classes beginning and campus activities in full swing, I invite you to stay connected with me on and . I’ll be sharing updates and highlights from across our community that showcase why USF is the best place to learn, work and grow. When you see me around campus, please feel free to come say hello, take a photo, and tag me if you post it on social media.

This is a particularly exciting time at USF – a vibrant period of growth with new cutting-edge programs and additional state-of-the-art facilities. Our university’s momentum has helped position us to break several all-time records:

  • This fall, we expect to enroll our largest class of first-year students.
  • More than 65,000 prospective students applied to USF – that’s 15,000 more than last year and the most ever at our university.
  • With nearly 7,500 students packing our residence halls, it’s the most students we’ve ever had living on our campuses.

Opportunities for learning abound at USF, and I hope that you will explore everything that our diverse and inclusive community has to offer. I wish you all the best as you settle in for the start of the semester.

In Bull Pride,

Rhea Law
USF President
