The Village received the “Best Education Project - Gold” award at the annual P3 Awards, hosted by , one of the largest organizations recognizing impactful public-private partnerships across the Americas, on Tuesday, Oct. 9.
The Village, located on the USF campus in Tampa, is a $134M mixed-use community a design capacity of 2,171 beds in 5 residence halls, a dining hall, a 24-hour desk, and a wellness and recreation facility complete with a zero-entry swimming pool. One of the residence halls, Pinnacle Hall, is also home to BurgerFi and Starbucks retail venues, both managed by , the dining services provider on campus.
Working with Brailsford & Dunlavey as our development advisors, USF partnered with industry leaders, Capstone Development Partners and Harrision Street Real Estate Capital, to realize President Judy Genshaft’s vision to transform the campus environment. The Capstone team includes Clancy & Theys Construction for the Dining and Wellness components and site infrastructure package, and Finfrock, a design- build contractor specializing in pre-cast concrete structures, for the residence halls.
Residents of The Village have a number of room choices including: traditional style single/double-occupancy rooms which share spa bathrooms with 3-4 other traditional rooms, suite style single/double-occupancy rooms which include sinks and private bathrooms, and super single traditional and suite style rooms which are identical to double-occupancy rooms except for the single-occupancy furniture configuration.
