Honors Study Away: Central Florida Systems of Sustainability

Judy Genshaft Honors College student hike through central Florida as part of the Systems of Sustainability study away program

Program Introduction

Students will be introduced to the professional world of environmental protection and sustainability in Central Florida while exploring its beautiful natural landscapes. We will investigate the complex effort to conserve our environment and manage natural resources. Students will have the opportunity to learn from leaders in the field, ask questions, and explore facilities. We will also spend time kayaking, hiking, visiting museums, cooking, and making s’mores around the campfire! Haven’t gotten to see an alligator or manatee? You will on this trip. Maybe even some bats as well!
