Freshman Judy Genshaft Honors College student Raehanna Brown competed with her team from Jamaica in the 2024 Chess Olympiad hosted in Budapest, Hungary. Brown followed in her older sister’s footsteps in playing chess competitively and pursuing her education at USF.

Fossil Hunters: Honors Students Travel 400 Million Years into the Past with Study Away Course
Led by ßÙßÇÂþ» Sarasota-Manatee Professor Dr. Lydia Wassink, Fossil Hunters is a Maymester Honors study away course that takes students on a hands-on exploration of Ordovician-era fossils. The program includes a trip to the Midwest where students collect fossils, learn virtual mapping skills, and create projects showcasing evolutionary concepts.
