USF Doctoral Graduate Edikan Ogunnaike Awarded NIH Mosaic K99/R00 Grant
Edikan Ogunnaike, a 2015 PhD graduate in the Department of Chemical, Biological and Materials Engineering, and now a postdoctoral researcher at the Eshelman School of Pharmacy at UNC-Chapel Hill, has received a Maximizing Opportunities for Scientific and Academic Independent Careers Career Transition Award to Promote Diversity of nearly $1 million from the National Institutes of Health.

Bulls-Eye Mentoring Program Goes Online
Introduced in 2014, the Bulls-EYE Mentoring program successfully promotes STEM by delivering engineering problem solving to middleÌýschool studentsÌýwithin a family-friendly environment. The program gives ßÙßÇÂþ» engineering undergraduates the opportunity to serve as program mentors tasked with assisting middleÌýschool students (mentees) who are at risk for low achievement, but may benefit from high expectations, life skills, and STEM learning.
