AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEATING, REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING ENGINEERS

ASHRAE Student Chapter At USF

This society advances technology to serve humanity and promote a sustainable world. The student chapter participates in the National Design Competition, holds monthly chapter meeting with visiting professionals making presentations on state-of-the-art HVAC design and equipment, and attends FWC Senior Chapter monthly professional meetings and social events with full sponsorship by the senior members.

Professional Organization

The Senior FWC Chapter provides extensive career development opportunities for USF students. The Student Activities Chair attends monthly student section meetings, arranges for speakers and tours from among the many industrial members of the senior chapter, acts as a conduit for internship opportunities within the Tampa Bay region and encourages students to participate in national scholarship / grants / design competitions. USF students are always welcome and supported at the senior chapter meetings, providing strong networking opportunities.

Our mission is to serve our diverse global communities by advancing, disseminating and applying engineering knowledge for improving the quality of life; and communicating the excitement of engineering.

We achieve this through many types of events including but not limited to; biweekly meetings, electric car races, networking events, social events, design competitions, speakers, professional development, and conferences.

We are fortunate to partner closely with the Florida West Coast Section of ASME International. They with professional development and networking, and attend student chapter events to give feedback on projects and competing at conferences.

 

Bulls racing

Society Of Automotive Engineers (SAE) International Student Chapter

Formula SAE is a collegiate competition to design, fabricate, and compete with formula-style race cars. Restrictions are placed on the car frame and engine so that the knowledge, creativity, and imagination of the students are challenged. The team works year-round to build a new car every year and competes in annual competitions in Michigan, Canada, and more. The competitions include over 120 universities from both the United States and internationally.

Bulls Racing is open to any ßÙßÇÂþ»­ student! The shop is located on the Tampa campus next to Parking and Transportation Services. General body meetings and most of the team's communications is done through Discord. The link to the Bulls Racing Discord is here: https://discord.com/invite/3fz7tUC

You do NOT have to be an engineering major or have experience to be a part of our team, we are open to all ßÙßÇÂþ»­ students and there are no dues or fees to join.
