Accelerated Degree Program

Highly motivated and qualified ßÙßÇÂþ» engineering students who are interested in graduate studies are invited to pursue the Accelerated Graduate Program (AGP) in Engineering Management. This program allows students at the end of their junior year to simultaneously enroll in graduate and undergraduate courses to pursue the Master of Science in Engineering Management (MSEM) while finishing their bachelor's degree in engineering. Up to six credit hours of approved courses may be shared between the bachelor's and the MSEM degrees, reducing the total number of credit hours required to complete both degrees. It is a great way for undergraduate students to complete the MSEM program with only one additional year of study.

The MSEM is a multidisciplinary graduate degree directed toward engineers who want to transition to technical management. Courses in the program involve concepts in engineering management, resource management, strategic planning, productivity, and process improvement. Students in the MSEM program learn technical management skills and develop managerial competence, which makes AGP graduates more appealing to potential employers.

Successful candidates must have 90 credit hours completed, at least 16 upper level engineering credit hours completed, a minimum GPA of 3.00, and work experience. Students must also meet or exceed the MSEM program admission requirements.

Interested students should apply for admission to the program through their undergraduate advisor and the MSEM program director, who should be consulted about any additional requirements for the program.
