For those who hope to inspire their students to be active and responsible members of society, the Social Science Education undergraduate program engages students in the study of cultural and historical tradition and informed social criticism.
Our program integrates research methods and teaching with an interdisciplinary curriculum including coursework in anthropology, economics, history, political science, psychology and other fields of study. Students in the program participate in field experiences, working alongside collaborating teachers in secondary school settings.
What Can I Do with this Degree?
Graduates of this program are competitive applicants for positions such as:
- Social Studies Teacher (grades 6-12)
