Bachelor of Science
The Bachelor of Science in Science Education explores educational foundations and methods to prepare educators in middle and secondary schools. It also explores the theory and practice of teaching science education. The objective is to prepare reflective and caring educators.
Master of Arts in Teaching
The Master of Arts in Teaching is designed for students seeking a master’s degree who are not certified or licensed to teach, but wish to be. The program prepares students to teach science at the middle or high school levels in the following areas: Biology, Chemistry, Earth & Space Science, and Physics.
Master of Education Concentrations
The M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction is ideal for students seeking a Master’s degree who are certified or licensed teachers and have professional experience in education. USF's M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction offers three concentrations that are relevant to science education: Secondary Education: Biology, Secondary Education: Chemistry, and Secondary Education: Physics.
Doctor of Philosophy Concentration
Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Science Education is committed to providing students with opportunities to examine and expand their educational content knowledge while immersing them in the research process. In doing so, the program is able to graduate exceptional leaders in the field.
