Criminology faculty member reflects on journey working in higher education

Valentine is an assistant professor of instruction in the USF Department of Criminology.

Colby Valentine, PhD, an assistant professor of instruction in the Department of Criminology, recently shared her experience working in higher education in an episode of The Criminology Academy podcast. Valentine reflects on her career in academia and discusses research, tenure, and moving between different universities.

"I really do have very amazing engaged students at USF, and I always get students who want to learn, and they do their part in participating," said Valentine.
