Center for Autism and Related Disabilities (CARD) Consultant Yazmin Castellano, MA has been selected to receive the Top Latino Leader Award at this year's National Latino Leadership Conference. The two-day virtual conference will be September 19-20 and consists of workshops, panels, and keynotes on various topics in an effort to foster change and opportunity within the Latino community.
Castellano will present at the conference on the topic of professionals with autism spectrum disorder. Her presentation is titled, "Latino Neurodiversity, Autism, and other Psycho-Social Needs in the Workplace."
"I am feeling joyful and highly hopeful," Castellano said. "I am delighted to represent CARD-USF as a presenter at the National Latino Leadership Conference. I am hopeful that professionals in high leadership positions will continue embracing neurodiverse professionals and building a neurodiverse working culture."
