Melissa Carlson, a research project manager in the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute, and Kayvrie Vega, administrative specialist in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders, recently received 2022 Outstanding Staff Awards.
This award recognizes ßÙßÇÂþ» employees who demonstrate above and beyond performance and support the values in USF's Strategic Plan - In Pursuit of Excellence. Any member of the USF community can nominate someone to receive the award, and winners are selected by the university's Department of Human Resources.
Carlson is a graduate of the behavioral healthcare program in the Department of Mental Health Law and Policy. She currently plays an integral role in supporting research conducted in the Louis de la Parte Florida Mental Health Institute.
Vega also received the CBCS Employee Recognition Award at this year's spring assembly. In her role, she supports the daily operations of the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders.
The awards ceremony was held in the ßÙßÇÂþ» School of Music Concert Hall on Friday.
