Our University Network
Overview
University networking is critical for those interested in addiction studies. Networking among Universities will allow promotion of the highest quality education and training in the field of addiction prevention, treatment, and public health interventions. In addition, this networking provides an opportunity to engage in the discussion and process of creating and implementing addiction studies programs.
North American University Networking
A network of North American Universities allows opportunities to share challenges, successes, and ideas specific to the United States and Canada. Universities who have successfully implemented programs can support development in institutions who are working to do so. We can create forums and share information on a large scale through newsletters, webinars, or trainings, or by forming individual relationships. Please contact Cary Hopkins Eyles if you are interested.
Education Providers
Educational institutions that are interested in the UTC or UPC curricula can sign an agreement with the UTC Coordinating Center and receive access to use these materials for their coursework. To see current Education Providers and/or to become an Education Provider, see the tab to the left.
International University Networking
Interested in global networking on addiction studies? International Consortium of Universities for Drug Demand Reduction (ICUDDR) was created to encourage the development and rapid expansion of a skilled global workforce able to prevent and treat substance use disorders in order to reduce the human, social, and economic costs, which are borne by communities around the globe. Through its work, the ICUDDR stimulates improvement in competencies and skills among current and future generations of addiction professionals, to meet the increasing demand for prevention, treatment and public health services. The ICUDDR also pursues and promotes related applied addictions research, outreach and advocacy. If you are interested in joining this network, you can . Additional information can be found at .
