DanceUSF Alumni
Alumni graduates from the 's Dance Program have diverse and successful careers. USF Dance majors have performed internationally with major dance companies, as well as serving as artistic directors of their own dance companies. We have graduates who have worked extensively in higher education as doctoral students, professors at major American universities, as well as in several Florida magnet school and community college programs. Our graduates have also maintained positions in arts management organizations and not-for-profit institutions throughout the United States.

Here are a few highlights of our graduates!
Nicole Vaughn-Diaz (BFA Dance Performance, 2013) graduated cum laude from the , where she was awarded the BRAVO and Hope Rietschlin scholarship awards for superior artistry. Relocating to New York City, Vaughan-Diaz joined Kate Weare Company in 2013, performing as part of the companies Brooklyn Academy of Music and Joyce Theatre seasons, among many others. Vaughan-Diaz is also currently choreographing her own work, set to premiere in NYC in spring of 2019. She received rave reviews for her performance of "Unstruck" at BAM ().
Jermaine Terry (BFA Dance Performance, 2005) has been a dancer with The Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater since 2010. Previously, Jermaine has been a member of Philadance, Buglisi Dance Theater, ArchDance, Dance Iquail!, and Ailey II. He is also a freelance costume designer in the city.
Dazaun Soleyn (BFA Dance Performance, 2014), former member of Robert Moses’ Kin dance company, is a teaching artist and choreographer in the San Francisco Bay area and founder of .
Emily Navarra is the Artistic Director / Choreographer / Performer and founder of , a Chicago-based company focusing on workshops, collaborative performances and cultural exchange.
Melissa Anduiza (BFA Dance Performance, 2010) Formerly a dancer with the North Carolina Dance Theatre, Melissa Anduiza is the Arts in Education Program Manager for the Miami City Ballet. Read about her in the on the changing bodies in dance.
Emily Hansel (BFA Dance Performance, 2016) is currently in San Francisco dancing with The Anata Project, Mark Foehringer Dance Project, Robert Moses' Kin, and Talli Jackson. Check out this highlighting her life as a dance in the Bay area.
Tyler Orcutt (BFA Dance Performance, 2012) is a dancer with Repertory Dance Theatre where he has performed in the works of Merce Cunningham and Shapiro & Smith.
Antonio Morillo (BFA Dance Performance, 2017) is a company member of , a contemporary ballet company in Ohio.
Allison Blanchard (BFA Dance Performance, 2014) toured the United States for two seasons in the cast of the national tour of 42nd Street.
Erin LaSala (BS Dance Education, 2003) is an Assistant Professor of Dance and Program Coordinator at Florida Southern College.
Carol Subiño Sullivan, PhD (BA Dance Studies, 2002) is an Academic Professional in the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning at Georgia Tech. She received her PhD in Anthropology from Indiana University with dissertation “Dancing Connections: The Practice of Guinean Dance and Drum in Xalapa, Veracruz, Mexico”. She has taught at the University of West Georgia and Indiana University South Bend. Carol Subiño Sullivan was previously a dancer/choreographer for Rhythm Works in South Bend, IN and for Windfall Dancers in Bloomington, IN.
Terry Larson (BA Dance Studies, 2000) graduated cum Laude in 2000 and went on to receive a master’s degree in physical therapy from USF in 2004. She worked as the physical therapist for the Touring Cast of the Broadway show Wicked.
