About the Series
Currently in its 21st season, the Steinway Piano Series at School of Music has presented concerts and master classes by over 100 distinguished international pianists. Recent guests include Pascal Rogé, Richard Goode, John O’Conor, Arthur Greene.
Tickets for the 2024-2025 Season are being offered free of charge and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. The lobby will open 1 hour prior to the event, and the doors will open approximately 30 minutes before the performance. Please arrive ahead of time to ensure your ticket as seating is limited.

Ghadeer Abaido
Sunday, September 29, 2024 at 4:00 pm, in
Acclaimed Palestinian-Jordanian pianist Ghadeer Abaido presents “Postcards”; an audience
collaborative performance combining creative writing with piano music. Featuring Bach-Busoni’s
Chaconne, Brahms’ op. 116, and Chopin’s Etudes op. 25.
Dmitri Shteinberg
Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 4:00 pm, in
Dmitri Shteinberg performs works by Beethoven, Chopin and Brahms dedicated to personal
storytelling - somewhat similar to reading a short novel for each work (or perhaps
a collection of short stories). The literary parallels can be both explicit and opaque,
bur their intensity is always grappling.
Stijn De Cock
Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 4pm,
in
Hailed for his passionate and virtuosic piano playing, celebrated Belgian pianist
Stijn De Cock presents an afternoon of piano masterpieces. His playing has been described
as “alternating between the stormy and sublime, while getting to the heart of the
music”.
Therese Fahy
Sunday, November 24, 2024 at 4:00 pm, in
Acclaimed Irish pianist and specialist in French music, Thérèse Fahy, performs Debussy’s
magically evocative Préludes. Ms. Fahy’s performances have been described as “tour
de force” and she was bestowed the title of Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres by the
French Government.
Genova-Dimitrov Duo
Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 4:00 pm, in
Hailed as “The top Duo at the zenith of their mastery! “, the Genova-Dimitrov Duo is perhaps the world’s leading piano ensemble. Their extensive recording catalogue covers every aspect of the piano duo repertoire. The Genova-Dimitrov Duo will present an afternoon of masterworks for two pianos and piano four-hands.
Eloisa Cascio
Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 4:00 pm, in
Italian virtuoso Eloisa Cascio is this year's recipient of the Steinway Piano Series
special award. The award is given annually to promote an exceptional pianist at the
beginning of their professional career. Music by Mozart, Chopin, Ravel, and Rachmaninov.
Iyad Sughayer
Friday, March 14, 2025 at 7:30 pm, in
Chosen as ‘One to Watch’ by International Piano Magazine, Iyad Sughayer’s playing
has been described by Gramophone as “exhilarating and delivered with perfect clarity”.
He was nominated as the 2022 Rising Star Artist by Classic FM.
Matthew Bengtson
Sunday, March 23, 2025 at 4:00 pm, in
Versatile pianist, fortepianist and harpsichordist Matthew Bengtson performs widely
and is equally renowned as an educator, offering brilliant and compelling programs
joining a wide range of repertoire. This recital will explore the Transcendental Etudes
by Liszt and subsequent works by Lyapounov and Sierra that were inspired by them.
Martinelli-Trovato Duo
Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 7:30 pm, in
The acclaimed Martinelli-Trovato Duo (Silvia Martinelli and Andrea Trovato) will takes
us into the magic of Italian arias and art songs. The voice-piano duo from Tuscany
is one of the leading performers of this timeless repertoire.
