Certificate programs are an excellent way to enhance your credentials. The certificate programs at the College of Design, Art & Performance are open to all registered University of South Florida students. The focused format of these programs adds a valuable educational experience that helps extend your skill set into a specialization and increases your competitiveness in a variety of fields.

Please note that acceptance into a certificate program is separate from admission into a degree program and does not guarantee acceptance into any degree program at the College of Design, Art & Performance.

Undergraduate Certificate Programs

Art History

(15 Credit Hours) An undergraduate certificate from the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ School of Art and Art History for students seeking broad instruction in art history.

Advanced Dance Studies

(12 Credit Hours) This certificate from the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ School of Theatre & Dance is designed for students who are degree-seeking or non-degree seeking who have a strong background in dance.

Business and Art

(12 Credit Hours) An interdisciplinary undergraduate certificate between the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ School of Art and Art History, and the USF Muma College of Business.

Dance Medicine and Science

(18 Credit Hours) This certificate program from the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ School of Theatre & Dance gives students an understanding of issues pertaining to the health and wellness of dancers such as: typical injury and misalignment patterns, injury prevention and treatment, injury risk factors, effective conditioning, muscular analysis of dance movement, and current topics in dance medicine and science research.

Visualization and Design

(18 Credit Hours) An interdisciplinary undergraduate certificate between the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ School of Art and Art History, and the USF Zimmerman School of Advertising & Mass Communications.

 

Graduate Certificate Programs

Music

(12 Credit Hours) A graduate certificate from the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ School of Music for bachelor's degree holders with non-degree seeking status, or currently pursuing a master's degree.

Advanced Graduate Certificate in Music

(15 Credit Hours) A graduate certificate from the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ School of Music for master's degree holders with non-degree seeking status, or currently pursuing a doctoral program or subsequent master's degree program.
