BioAdvise is the resource office for undergraduate students taking biology coursework. We are here to serve the needs of students whose majors are in the Integrative Biology Department and the Molecular Biosciences Department. We also answer questions about undergraduate biology courses offered at USF.
The advisors meet with students individually for advising appointments, assist with new and transfer student orientations, answer student emails, and use any other mechanism available to assist our students’ success in their graduation and career goals.

How often should you see an advisor?
We love meeting with our students and suggest that they come in to see us at least once a semester.
Meeting with us regularly allows us to keep up to date with your goals and experiences here at USF, which gives us the opportunity to make sure you are on track for graduation and your career goals.
When is the best time to see an advisor?
Our office absolutely has busy times throughout the year, such as during peak registration and summer orientations.
If you are unable to find an available appointment in the USF Archivum system, please do not hesitate to email us directly with your questions or concerns and we will work best to accommodate you.
We also strive to provide regular, virtual Drop-Ins to assist during our busiest times.
What is the best way to communicate with a biology advisor?
Our office currently works in a hybrid capacity, meaning advisors are on campus only 2-3 times a week. Therefore the best way to reach a biology advisor is to email us at bioadvise@usf.edu.
Please allow 3-5 business days for an email response from our office.
