Bio
Michael Spencer is an instructor at USF's Patel College of Global Sustainability (PCGS) and director of a non-profit company focused on technological Innovation and research. He was the Faculty-in-Charge of the Energy Management Major at Marshall University and direct liaison with regional energy companies. He created and taught courses in Energy Management, Renewable Energy Management, Energy Management Strategies, Green Management, and was the Business Ethics instructor. His private sector experience includes renewable energy consulting in the biofuel sectors where he concentrated on capital acquisition, process efficiencies, and market penetration. He also served in the U.S. military as a Navy SEAL. His research interests include elite decision making, strategic negotiations, and crisis mitigation concerning long term complex problems in the critical sectors of energy, food production, water distribution, and materials acquisition.
