The USF in DC public policy internship program is temporarily suspended.

USF in DC begins with an intensive course before students relocate to Washington, D.C. for the semester. The internship placements will be in Florida Legislative Offices in Washington, D.C. Placements will be made based on the needs of each office and the interpersonal and academic skills of the students.

Up to five (5) undergraduate juniors and seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.50 will be selected to participate. All majors and disciplines are welcome to apply from all three campuses.

Students that participate in USF in DC will receive a $5,000 scholarship from USF Research & Innovation. These funds are earmarked to cover the entire cost of housing. Housing is provided by Washington Intern Student Housing (WISH) and coordinated by the Florida Institute of Government. This scholarship will not cover the cost of travel to and from D.C., local travel, food, or personal costs.

For questions about the program and application process, please contact Robyn Odegard, the USF Florida Institute of Government Program Planner/Analyst, for more information.
