Kevin Sneed, PharmD, senior associate vice president of USF Health and dean of the Taneja College of Pharmacy, recently earned the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Board of Directors’ Award of Excellence.

The award recognizes an individual or group for a recent, singular, nationally significant achievement or contribution.

Dr. Sneed is celebrated as one of the leading pharmacist voices during the COVID-19 pandemic.  He worked tirelessly to address patient concerns, combat misinformation, and overcome vaccine hesitancy, particularly within the African-American community.  His leadership during the global health crisis allowed clinicians to meet the evolving need, and equipped patients to make informed health decisions.

Dr. Sneed officially received the award June 11 at the ASHP Pharmacy Futures national meeting in Portland, Ore.
