USF Health Family Medicine simplifies care for a single mother’s family

In a time when access to comprehensive and compassionate health care can be a challenge, USF Health Family Medicine stands out by simplifying care for all families. For one single mother and her two children, the team at USF Health has proven to be more than just medical providers - they've become a true support system.

“I bring my entire family, and they’re always so gentle and understanding,” said Amber Robinson, USF Health Family Medicine patient. “They take their time with us and never get frustrated.”

Family Medicine at USF Health offers care for patients of all ages, from newborns to adults, ensuring a continuity of care that meets the diverse needs of families.

The clinic strives to provide “wraparound” services that not only address immediate medical concerns but also offer guidance for future health care decisions. This patient-centered care fosters a sense of security and trust that extends beyond the exam room.

For busy families, especially single parents juggling multiple responsibilities, finding health care that is both efficient and empathetic is invaluable.

“It is nice knowing that they care and take their time with you... We do not get that much elsewhere,” Robinson said.

“It is a nice one-stop shop for families to be able to see a family provider that can see both you and your children,” said Jennifer Costa, MD, assistant professor at the USF Health College of Medicine Department of Family Medicine.

USF Health Family Medicine continues to exemplify its commitment to community health by offering personalized, comprehensive care that meets the needs of every family member. The clinic’s dedication to helping patients navigate complex health care choices empowers families, providing peace of mind and a brighter, healthier future for their patient’s families.
