General Faculty Senate Information

The Faculty Senate website has all the essential information about the Faculty Senate, its operations, and materials related to the business of the Faculty Senate and the ßÙßÇÂþ»­. The website is broken down into four main sections: About, Councils, Meetings and Minutes, and Documents and Archives. An overview of each section and the type of information you can find there is listed below.

About
The Faculty Senate is the primary faculty advisory body to the University of South Florida President, Provost, and Vice President for Health on all matters that pertain to the academic climate of the university. The Faculty Senate exists of senators from each academic unit and a Faculty Senate Executive Committee (FSEC) which includes Faculty Senate Officers and Faculty Senate Council chairs. Use the ‘About’ section to see Faculty Senate and FSEC membership.

Councils
The Faculty Senate operates 15 councils on a variety of areas across academic areas of the university. The councils are comprised of faculty members who have an interest in various topics, explore the ‘Councils’ tab to learn about each council, their charge, and membership.

Meetings and Minutes
The meeting schedule for the Faculty Senate and the Faculty Senate Executive Committee are listed on the ‘Meetings and Minutes’ page. There are also links to the respective agenda and meeting minutes for each meeting.

Documents and Archives
The ‘Documents and Archives’ section of the website includes a variety of materials for the Faculty Senate including the archives of past meeting materials, governance documents, relevant forms, and resolutions the Faculty Senate has passed.
