Arash Takshi, PhD
RESEARCH INTERESTS
Dr. Takshi's primary research interest is in the field of emerging materials for novel electronic devices. His lab at Bio-Organic Electronics is active in studying organic and bio photovoltaic devices and supercapacitors. Additionally, using nanomaterials and organic semiconductors, Takshi's group is working on designing biosensors and gas/VOC sensors for medical applications. Also, his team has devised a method for direct printing copper on fabrics for developing wearable electronics.
BIOGRAPHY
Arash Takshi graduated in electronics from Amirkabir University of Technology, Iran, in 1993. He received his M.Sc. degree in analog electronics from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran, in 1996, and his Ph.D. in organic electronics from the University of British Columbia (UBC), Canada, in 2007. From 2007 to 2009, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the UBC, working on bio-photovoltaic devices. Currently, he is an Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering at the ßÙßÇÂþ» (USF).
