Biography
Dr. Phil Ventura joined the Department in 2016 from Palm Beach State College where he served as Chair of the Computer Science Department. He has been teaching for the past 19 years in higher education. He has many published peer-reviewed conference articles in the area of computer science education, object-oriented design and programming, and computing curricula. In addition to his academic career, he has worked as a Senior Software Engineer in Research and Development writing Clojure code for the South Florida-based startup, Velocitude, that was then acquired by Akamai, a billion dollar company which, at the time, handled one third of the traffic on the Internet.
