HackJam Fall '22
On October 9th, 2022, 200+ USF Computer Science and Computer Engineering Students competed in a 12-hour Hack-A-Thon called "HackJam". It introduced first-time hackers to practical coding knowledge in a competitive environment.
"It’ll really challenge your ability to think critically and solve problems with programming," said Joshua Delawter-Gourlay, a Computer Science junior at USF. "Attending the event has also given me a big boost when applying for internships and made me a much more well-rounded candidate"
HackJam was both educational and competitive. To optimize learning, we had workshops followed by challenges designed to test attendee's skill. The participant who best completed the workshop's challenge received an awesome prize.
"The HackJam experience was incredible. It pushed the limits of what I was capable of and helped me grow tremendously." - Joshua Delawter-Gourlay, Computer Science junior at USF and Runner up of the Competitive Coding Challenge
