Research Overview: Interfacial Phenomena and Polymeric Materials
The Gupta research group focuses on interfacial science, self-assembled materials, polymeric materials, and nanotechnology. In the past, our group has made substantial contributions in the areas of guest-host recognition at self-assembled surfaces, polymer adsorption on nano-heterogeneous surfaces, and preparation of novel, smart polymeric systems. In recent years, we have led projects on design of novel polymer-oxide nanoparticle composite particles for environmental remediation of organic contaminants, chemical mechanical polishing, and catalysis. Current areas of interest include
- Functionalized Nanoparticles for Theranostics
- Engineering Constructs of Polymeric Networks with Nanoparticles for Biomedical, Environmental, Chemical Applications
