Internship Guidelines and Code of Conduct

STUDENT PROFESSIONAL EXPECTATIONS

The College of Education supports the mission goals and values of the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities (OSRR) and the ßÙßÇÂþ»­ by promoting a community that values individual responsibility and the adherence to community standards as embodied in the Student Code of Conduct.

USF CODE OF CONDUCT

USF values a community based on the principles of community, ethics, and civility. As such, the USF community expects students to behave in a manner that supports this purpose. Read the document to understand what behavior is counteractive to this purpose and how USF will hold students accountable for those inappropriate behaviors.

The USF Ethics and Integrity Council serves in an advisory capacity to the President of the University, as well as to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and the Vice President for Student Affairs on policies, procedures and practices affecting students' academic integrity, ethical development, and respect for the global community at the University of South Florida.

Internship Forms

COLLEGE OF EDUCATION PETITION

This form allows undergraduate students in the College of Education to request an exemption/modification from the academic policies within the College of Education. Students may request a second internship experience or request permission to take a course along with final internship by completing this form.

College of Education Undergraduate & Graduate Petition 

PAID INTERNSHIP GUIDELINES AND FORMS

This form allows graduate students to request to complete their final internship in an eligible full-time teaching position they currently hold or one in which they are being offered. The school where the student is requesting to complete their final internship must be accredited and the assigned teacher/mentor must meet one of the requirements below:

The assigned teacher/mentor must have successfully taught for at least three years, taken the state approved certified training and is certified in the candidate's area of specialization.
The assigned teacher/mentor must have completed a Mentor Teacher Program approved by the district
