Teacher Certification Exams

Since 1986 Florida Teacher Certification Examinations (FTCE) consists of: General Knowledge Test (GKT) covering reading, writing, mathematics skills, and the Professional Education Test (PEd): a test of pedagogy and professional practices, and finally the Subject Area Examinations (SAE): tests in the subject area(s) in which they wish to be certified: there are 41 different SAEs.

Acceptable Skills Test: GKT
