New Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) 40-Hour Training Provider Pass-Rate Report Ranks USF Program Third in the Nation
The RBT® is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior analysis services and practice under the direction and close supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA®) and/or Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA®), who are responsible for all work RBTs perform.
The RBT® course at USF, housed within the Applied Behavior Analysis Program/Child & Family Studies, is free for all USF ABA graduate students and available at a discounted price for employees of the ABA practicum sites.
"The discounted rates for our practicum sites is a way to thank you for the important support they provide our program/students," said Instructor and ABA Practicum Coordinator Catia Cividini-Motta.
The USF program consists of 12 online modules, each containing a narrated presentation and a 10 question exam at the end of each module. Successful completion of the course requires sequential completion of each module and exam with at least 80% accuracy. Students have 2 attempts at each exam.
"Congratulations to all of the students who completed the USF RBT training course and passed the RBT examination," said Professor and ABA Program Director Raymond Miltenberger. "We are so happy our program has such a high pass rate ranking and wish our students well in their future in applied behavior analysis."
The BACB’s RBT certification program is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA). NCCA is the accrediting body for the Institute for Credentialing Excellence and is recognized as the authority on accreditation standards for high-quality professional certification programs
