The Institute Welcomes the Sixth Cohort of Scholars!
In the Spring 2019 semester, the faculty and staff of the Institute for Translational Research Education (ITRE) welcomed 17 new Institute Scholars. Scholars participated in an intensive orientation at the 2019 CMH Tampa Conference in March. During the conference orientation, scholars participated in icebreaker activities, were introduced to the ITRE Executive Committee, representatives from community partner agencies, and academic and peer mentors, and attended multiple ITRE sessions focused on implementation science and adolescent drug abuse. Cohort 6 is comprised of students from all educational levels with varied backgrounds and research interests including public health, social work, occupational therapy, behavioral health, psychology, and anthropology.
