Brandon Worthey obtained his Bachelor Degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Studies at Auburn University in 2014, his Masters of Education in Clinical Rehabilitation Counseling from Auburn University in 2017 and his doctorate in Counselor Education and Supervision at Auburn University in 2023. Dr. Worthey has expertise in accessibility, universal design, rehabilitation counseling, mental health counseling, counselor supervision, management, and educating. His research interests include disability awareness and advocacy, impact of music listening on symptoms of anxiety and depression, and strategies to improve accessibility in housing.
Dr. Worthey is a former business owner. He built new homes and remodeled existing homes to fit the needs of individuals with and without disabilities. He has worked as a vocational rehabilitation and mental health counselor with transitioning aged students, people who are incarcerated, and individuals with mental and physical disabilities. Dr. Worthey has supervised counselor supervisors, rehabilitation counselors and mental health counselors. He has provided supervision in public and private vocational rehabilitation settings. Currently, Dr. Worthey owns a private vocational rehabilitation business where he works as a vocational case manager and vocational evaluator.
