At DACCO, she was an outpatient therapist and facilitated drug intervention and treatment groups for the adult population, managing a caseload of 30 clients. Currently, Dr. DePippo operates her own private practice, and her counseling focus is with adults who are struggling with a variety of issues such as: women’s mental health, self-esteem, life transitions, substance misuse, and grief and loss.
Dr. DePippo's article, Women’s Addiction Treatment: The Internal Makeover, published in the Tampa Woman Magazine, examines some of the issues involved in treating addiction and co-occurring disorders. She believes that females are often an overlooked group when it comes to chemical dependency, particularly since women are so good at hiding their problems. In addition, she also believes that treating the root of the addiction is critical for lasting recovery.
