New Rankings Keep USF Part-time MBA and Graduate Entrepreneurship Programs Among Top in Nation

TAMPA (December 02, 2021) –- The ßŮßÇÂţ»â€™s part-time MBA program is No. 41 in the country — No. 25 among public universities — on Fortune’s inaugural ranking of the best part-time MBA programs in the U.S. for 2022.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Fortune in its first-ever ranking of the best part-time MBA programs in the country,” said Eric Douthirt, director of USF’s MBA programs. “This speaks volumes to the caliber of our curriculum, where students have access to top-notch business professors. This high-quality program gives graduates the tools they need to continue to be leaders in the world of business and industry.”
USF’s MBA is designed for full-time working professionals who are balancing a job with graduate school. The program is designed with flexibility and rigor and offers an evening and a weekend track.
In its methodology, Fortune weighed the strength of a school’s incoming class. For example, evaluators looked at the average years of work experience, average GMAT score, and the average undergraduate GPA of incoming students.
They also surveyed business professionals and hiring managers about the business school and program. And they compared how many of each school’s MBA alumni are executives at Fortune 1000 companies.
Along with the MBA, the Muma College of Business also offers the nationally ranked online MBA, which ranked No. 26 overall — No. 19 among public universities — on the U.S. News and World Report annual survey. Poets&Quants ranked the online MBA program at No. 34 overall in its 2022 list. For more information about the program, learn more here.
The Fortune ranking comes on the heels of another stellar national ranking for USF in 2022 — the USF Center for Entrepreneurship’s graduate program is ranked No. 19 in the country, No. 9 among public universities, and No. 2 among colleges in the Southeast for graduate entrepreneurship programs, according to a joint survey by The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine.
“Our ranking on this list is a testament to the quality of our program and the work that faculty, staff and students put in day in and day out,” said Dirk Libaers, director of the Center for Entrepreneurship in the Muma College of Business.
The 2022 ranking is the results of The Princeton Review’s 16th annual ranking of the top 50 graduate schools for entrepreneurship studies overall, and USF has been on the list for 16 years in a row. The survey also tallied sub-lists that ranked schools within their regions.
The team of reviewers surveyed nearly 300 schools with entrepreneurship programs and looked at more than 40 data points in its methodology.
