USF AMA Chapter Cleans Up at National Competition
By Keith Morelli
TAMPA (April 3, 2020) -- The USF AMA chapter placed No. 3 in the nation for the American Marketing Association case competition. The team made it into the national finals for the case write-up and competed with its presentation in front of the client, Cotton Inc., for the prize. The ranking was the highest USF AMA has ever ranked in this competition, said Loran Jarrett, adviser for the team, "and we are so incredibly proud of the five students who made this happen." Helping out were Luke Liska, a PhD candidate, faculty members Mike Bowen, Pat Nickinson and Jill Solomon, all of whom showed up for rehearsals to help prepare the team for the presentation. Besides placing No. 3 in the case competition, the chapter was ranked No. 20 in the nation.
