New online-only degrees offer students flexibility
TAMPA (December 18, 2013) -- People seeking a USF degree will be able to achieve a variety of graduate degrees from the USF Muma College of Business with several new online degree options -- and they can do it all without entering a traditional classroom.
"These new programs make a USF business degree accessible to students who may not have the flexibility to complete an on-campus degree program," said Kaushal Chari, associate dean of the Muma College of Business. "We believe these new programs will meet the needs of professionals across a wide range of industries who are looking to continue their education."
In line with the increasing demand for online education, USF will offer three new online programs in the coming year:
- An online MS in Entrepreneurship in Applied Technologies to be launched in the spring.
The highly ranked USF master's degree is offered in eight week course segments and
can be completed in less than a year.
- An online MBA with a concentration in sport business to be launched in August. Created
for professionals already working in the industry who are looking to hone their skills
and advance in their careers, the program emphasizes the business fundamentals of
sports and entertainment. It focuses on management, marketing, finance, economics,
and accounting.
- Starting this spring, students will also be able to earn an , giving those without an undergraduate business degree the prerequisite courses to enter an MBA program.
These programs are in addition to the fully online MS in Management Information Systems with a focus on business intelligence that was launched in May 2013.
