Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy Names New “Executive in Residence”
Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame recipient Richard Dobkin joins the USF Muma College of Business
TAMPA – The 's Muma College of Business has named Richard Dobkin as a new "executive in residence" in the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy. Dobkin, a CPA in Florida and Pennsylvania who has more than 37 years of experience with Ernst & Young in Tampa, Pittsburgh, and New York, was recently inducted into the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame. As the "executive in residence," at USF, Dobkin will provide counsel and support to Director of the Lynn Pippenger School of Accountancy Stephanie Bryant, the faculty, and the students on a wide range of issues.
"We are very excited that Dick has agreed to serve in this important advisory role," said Bryant. "He brings years of experience, along with enthusiasm and energy, to our faculty and students. We look forward to a wonderful partnership."
Dobkin, who has been a member of the Board of Directors of Cracker Barrel Old Country Store since 2005, is also currently on the boards for WEDU-TV, the Museum of Science and Industry, and Tampa General Hospital Foundation. He was a Tampa managing partner of Ernst & Young from 1987 through his retirement in 2005. Dobkin earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Pennsylvania State University and a master's degree in industrial administration from Carnegie-Mellon University. He has also participated in the Kellogg Executive Program at Northwestern University.
