Trishna G. Mistry is an assistant professor at the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, teaching courses that focus on hospitality human resources management, strategic management, and organizational effectiveness.

Mistry's research interests are centered around human resources management, organizational behavior, employee well-being, and the impact of leadership styles within the hospitality industry. She is particularly focused on exploring topics related to employee mistreatment, generational differences, and ethical issues in hospitality management. Her work has been widely recognized and published in internationally refereed journals such as International Journal of Hospitality Management, International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, and Journal of Hospitality Marketing and Management.

Mistry earned her PhD and master’s degrees in hospitality and tourism management from the University of Central Florida, Rosen College of Hospitality Management, and a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with a concentration in political science from the University of Florida. 

Before her academic career, Mistry gained extensive industry experience working in various roles within the lodging sector. In addition to her teaching and research responsibilities, Mistry actively contributes to the academic community through service roles such as faculty advisor for student organizations, including Eta Sigma Delta, and membership in various academic committees. She serves as an editorial advisory board member for the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management and is an ad-hoc reviewer for several top-tier journals in the field. She holds several professional memberships, including CHRIE and the Society for Human Resource Management.
